The Chestnut Family Foundation has continued their support of Helping Mamas with a $160,779 donation. This donation was made in support of two initiatives: the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) Safe Sleep and Ride partnership and the need for a box truck to expand Helping Mamas’ services to more women and children.
Helping Mamas has enjoyed a long partnership with CHOA, providing car seats and safe sleep options to the families served by CHOA. We are honored to support this important partnership, which aims to provide 1,000 children a year access to safe sleep options and car seats.
During the pandemic, Helping Mamas found that large scale distribution was the most efficient and effective way to reach those most in need. Our donation will fund a box truck and driver to bring essential child and baby items to underserved communities throughout Georgia. Helping Mamas anticipates serving an additional 11,000 individuals using the box truck, reaching more women and children in our rural communities.
We are proud to support Helping Mamas commitment to women, children, and families in our community!
