Soccer in the Streets' StationSoccer Campaign

The Chestnut Family Foundation is proud to fulfill their two-year $250,000 commitment to Soccer in the Streets’ StationSoccer campaign with this year’s $125,000 donation. These funds will help support the construction of the Kensington station field near Clarkston and fund programming for soccer activities at existing station fields. The StationSoccer fields connect different communities around Atlanta and are easily accessible for families without the resources required to travel, providing safe places for kids to play soccer and take part in programming to promote social equity, inclusion and life skills.

In addition, the Chestnut Family Foundation recently granted an additional $66,250 to Soccer in the Streets in support of their community program for girls in Clarkston.

“Teresa and I have been so impressed with Soccer in the Streets. Over the pandemic, when crowded soccer games weren’t possible, they pivoted to provide meals to 1,000 kids, plus online tutoring. They listened hard and adapted fast to provide for the needs of the kids in the communities they serve. We’re proud to support them,” said Ben Chestnut.
